This was my first experience with a travel planner. I had no idea what to expect from the service, so I asked a ton of questions from the beginning to the end. I wanted to not only plan this trip but also to learn about the process so I could do it myself next time. What I learned about the process was that I don't think I would ever book a big trip again without Kim's help! She offered helpful suggestions, answered all my questions, and kindly pointed out where some of my own ideas might have caused problems because of timing or other issues. All this would have made the service worth it, but then I was thrilled when she was able to save us an additional $1500 off our trip because of her connections. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kim Roberts and I'm excited to plan more trips with her assistance. This was my first experience with a travel planner. When my wife and I decided to go on a cruise, I thought I could arrange it myself because we knew where we wanted to go.
It didn’t take long surfing the internet that I knew I was in way over my head.
I asked Kim with Cruise Planners for help and within a day or two she sent us three cruises to chose from. My wife and I picked the Aruba cruise with Royal Caribbean and outlined a few extras that we wanted and Kim took it from there.
She arranged everything from airfares to hotel stays to rental car.
It usually takes me a couple of days into a vacation for me to unwind from all the planning needed, but this trip was relaxed from day 1.

We had a great time! We loved the location of Poipu. It was sunny most days and for us centrally located to both East and West sides of the island. We drove to the end of both roads on the perimeter of the island and saw and did everything we had planned!
The resort was comfortable. The unit we were given did have portable AC units, which was a nice surprise! We were able to walk to and along 3 beaches from our room and the distance roundtrip was abou 1.5 miles, which was perfect for sunrise and sunset! We had access to two pools which was great.
One of the beaches there in Poipu was really for wake boarding but the other two were good for snorkeling. We visited those beaches most days unless we were out at another beach. But on our last day of snorkeling I was in the water without Pat and just doing some laps when a huge green sea turtle swam by me. It was a dream come true for me to be out-swam by a sea turtle!
The car was great too. Large enough for rented chairs and our daily supplies or swim and hiking gear. There are horror stories online of 3 hour wait times to get rental cars, but we had no wait.

As we have never took a cruise before April helped us through the process and her recommendations. Her suggestions with a selection for a room were well worth it. She knew about everything that we would have failed to select if we did it on our own. Even her simple recommendation to ask for a cushion for the bed saved us a lot of pain. April Lane did a fabulous job planning our 12-day Alaska cruise tour with Princess Cruise Line on the Coral Princess. We returned yesterday and had a wonderful time on this trip of a life time.
